Fairytale In The Supermarket
UK Post Punk (1978-1984)
About Fairytale In The Supermarket
Feminist band The Raincoats were at least genuine whilst many post punks members fraudulently claimed they and had no musical talent or training, The Raincoats literally didn't and had a trial by fire whilst practising their art whilst performing live.
What's interesting
Rough Trade's location near the squat area of Ladbroke Grove London provided a melting pot of ideas and became a musicians collective that resulted in many band members interchanging between groups e.g The Slits drummer Palmolive joined the Raincoats
