Never Been In A Riot

About Never Been In A Riot

The Mekon's debut single was the first product on Bob Last's Fast Records and sonicly reflected that rock music can only be played correctly by non-musicians i.e. attitude was more important than technical ability.

What's interesting

This anti-musician and publicity stance of The Mekons was initially lost on distributor Rough Trade however when the track received the then cool and influential NME Single Of the Week , they cut the band some slack.
