The Prince

UK Post Punk (1978-1984)

About The Prince

Madness was a seven piece from North London and turned out to the Two-Tone band with the most success and longevity. rather than wearing there depression on their sleeves they hid it behind a jovial exterior.

What's interesting

The love of Prince Busters music was the catalyst for the revised ska movement and a tribute (The Prince) and a cover version (Madness is Gladness) were the choice for Madness's debut single.
