Second Edition

About Second Edition

Second Edition of Metal Box undermines the original triple 12" single release (Checkout UK 70's ) as they were basically Dub records requiring the wider groove of 12" singles to provide the superior sound quality.

What's interesting

Anne Nightingale claimed PIL to be the most powerful performance on The Old Grey Whistle Test and listening to the energy and Levine's brilliant use of shards of noise from the prophet 5 on Careering and Lydon's menace on Poptones are what makes this album in any format a classic.
