Devised by Ron Pickering and Don Revie Friday night between 1973 and 1985 which also used the theme Heavy Action by Johnny Pearson also used in the NFL Monday Night American Football Superstars was presented by David Vine and featured Sports personalities such as David Hemery, Daley Thompson , Kevin Keegan and Brian Jacks king of squat thrusts.

You are granted athletic abilities by choosing a coloured playing figure and then you have to compete in a series of 10 events which include table tennis, shooting, and cycling. Like the shows format you are eliminated from your specialist event lthough in this case your speciality is determined by chance opposed to years of pushing yourself to the max. The player who accumulates the most points throughout the decathlon gets Superstar status.
