Live And Let Film Programme

About Live And Let Film Programme

Live and Let Die was released during the rise of the blaxploitation movies that capitalised on the unexpected box office success of Shaft that utilised many of the blaxploitation archetypes and clichés such as Pushers, pimps, hookers and gangsters.

What's interesting

A refreshing change from the megalomaniac super-villain fantasy of taking over the world formula, and focused on grim and gritty realism of drug trafficking, a common theme of blaxploitation films of this period.
