Aston Martin Db5 Corgi 270
About Aston Martin Db5 Corgi 270
The Corgi 270 model built on it's predecessor 261 success and added a full gambit of features witnessed in movies Goldfinger and Thunderball such as revolving number plate , opening roof ,working ejector seat mechanism, rear bullet screen which can be raised and lowered, telescopic over-riders, retractable machine guns ,red tyre slasher blades on the rear wheels and of course James Bond and villain figures seated inside.
What's interesting
Initially in the screenplay development chase sequence in Goldfinger, the Aston Martin was armed only with a smoke screen, but every crew member began suggesting gadgets to install in it: my favourite came from producer Guy Hamilton who conceived the revolving licence plate because he had been inundated with parking tickets
