About From Russia Pan Paperbacks
It was not suprising that Ian Fleming's sixth novel was a Cold War thriller as the Cuban Missile Crisis had only occurred the previous year
What's interesting
Notably an intelligent screenplay that retained the substance of Ian Fleming's novels However SMERSH the Soviet undercover agency organisation and nemesis of M16 in the novel became crime syndicate SPECTRE for the film series reducing heavily the Cold War political rhetoric from Fleming.
